Founded by Luke Fobian earlier this year, Distilled has launched two new local brands and offers trend and design support to a major online South African retailer. The vision for Distilled is to support the industry and DAF graduates. Industry uses the services of Distilled to get their product to market – while DAF graduates use this as an opportunity to increase their work experience – working as a freelancer on various brands and projects. Allowing the graduates to receive compensation whilst building their brands/careers.
The name Distilled comes from Luke’s experience of developing and managing brands, and working on seasonal trend strategies. It’s the process of filtering and distilling a concept into a cohesive brand essence. Filtering and distilling the trend information into a business-relevant strategy.
Luke is the go-between for all customers and designers. Managing the process, the workflow and the standard of work produced by the designers.
