Missed application deadlines at the beginning of the year? The Fashion Institute of Garment Technology is excited to announce a Mid Year Intake for first year 2021!
The 2 year Seta accredited General Education & Training Certificate in Clothing Manufacturing Process provides students with knowledge in Garment Technology such as Pattern Design and Garment Construction, as well as foundation Fashion Design principles. Elementary computer skills are explored as well as foundation principles on business ownership and marketing.
The ideal candidate for our 2 year certificate is an inspiring fashion designer and/or entrepreneur who has the desire to produce their own garments and specialise in garment construction and pattern making. With the resurgent growth in the manufacturing sector in South Africa, it has been recognised that there is a large demand for skills trained professionals in this sector.

- Fashion Assistant in the editorial sector
This is a national credit bearing course and is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority. Entry requirements include minimum age of 17 years and minimum Grade 9 pass.
